David Ryan

As a surveyor with a mine surveying background David calls upon years of involvement in the mining and civil industry. David’s wide-ranging experience includes bulk earth design and surveying, senior project management, light civil construction activities, conveyor alignment, task co-ordination, incident survey investigation and as-built surveys.

On the mining front, David is knowledgeable in both open cut and underground coal mining. David’s skills include drafting of statutory management plans, including Mine Operation Plans (MOP’s), Subsidence Management Plans, and critical lift studies. David has undertaken rehabilitation design, set out and ongoing lidar calculation during constructions. He is a very effective communicator and a well-liked and regarded member of the Mudgee community.

Phillip has 43 years of professional experience at management and supervisory levels servicing local government, industry and the public sector. His extensive experience, professional acumen and additional statutory certifications have greatly influenced his management and communication style, paving the way for his deserved reputation.

Phillip has managed many sites in various sectors. His flexibility and attention to detail, along with his communication skills and ability to connect with clients and team members enables him to obtain high quality workmanship and consistently meet project goals and deadlines within budget.

Daniel joined our team in 2019 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. His calm and measured approach with a strong attention to detail ensures our clients consistently receive the highest quality workmanship. Daniel is registered to lodge clients plans with NSW Land Registry Services, ensuring the smooth transition from planning to registration of land dealings and titles.

With over 37 years of experience in the industry, Peter has completed a vast array of projects for the resource sector in infrastructure, as well as rural and urban subdivisions. Clients admire his willingness to listen, share his knowledge and ability to meet their requirements effectively.

With a great deal of experience and a love for the outdoors and history, Rob brings a depth of knowledge and experience to the team and many a story to share from projects he has been involved in all over Australia. Rob loves using O’Ryan’s cutting edge technology and his skills to source historical survey marks, some of which recently have dated back to the pre-1900’s.

Growing up locally and spending as much time outdoors as possible, it seems that Andrew is a born surveyor. He enjoys working offsite with our rural and mining clients and obtaining and processing aerial data from our drones. Andrew continues his next level studies

Connie is the latest member to join the O’Ryan team. With a defence force background, she has a strong sense of organisation and attention to detail. Connie is enthusiastically engaged in Surveying and Spatial studies and is looking forward to developing her skills across a range of areas.

In addition to her strong administration skills, Linda has an intrinsic understanding of rural life and agriculture. She loves the dynamic nature of the surveying industry and being part of a rapidly growing and professional team.

Julie Wells

Julie joined O’Ryan in 2022 and brings considerable experience in preparing and managing all types of local development projects. The experience gained working in both the public and private sectors provides our clients with holistic and comprehensive services when it comes to researching, preparing and negotiating their development approvals. Julie has extensive qualifications and is recognized as a registered town planner by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).

Mitchell Foley

Town Planner

Mitchell joined O’Ryan in 2020 and helped bring town planning services into the business. Mitchell’s background in environmental sciences and geospatial information systems (GIS) provides a broad range of skills and knowledge that he uses to support our town planning projects.
